OBJECTIVE

I truly love competitive soccer and the experience of being part of a team, and my career goal is to work in advanced prosthetics, so I would like to attend a college or university that offers me the opportunity to play soccer at the DII or DIII level and major in Biomedical or Biomechanical Engineering. Both on-the-field and in-the-classroom, I am a hard worker, excellent teammate and natural leader. My coaches and teachers praise my intellect, poise, character, positive attitude and work ethic. I may not be the biggest or fastest or strongest player on the field (sometimes I am the fastest), but I am smart, dynamic and creative in my play and consistently produce results. I play the #7 or #11 position and use my speed, soccer intelligence and ability to pass and shoot with both feet to create scoring chances.

I have played club/academy soccer for Global Premier Soccer (GPS) in New Jersey since my freshman year. From 2017-2018 my team (GPS NJ Marlton '00) achieved a #12 ranking in NJ, and from 2018-2019 my team (GPS NJ Central '01/02) currently is ranked #3 in NJ, 10th in the Northeast region and among the top 50 nationally. We are consistently a finalist in the elite brackets at regional showcase tournaments. I play as an attacking wing player (both right and left) and generally contribute a goal or assist per game.

In high school, I maintained my starting spot as an attacking winger and was recognized as an honorary junior captain. In the first five games this season I contributed six goals including a hat trick in our opening game against Burlington Township. As the season progressed I was awarded the Burlington County Scholastic League Player of the Week and Burlington County Times Athlete of the Week. I closed out the season with ten goals, three assists and a spot on the Burlington County Scholastic League All-Liberty Division 2nd Team. I have also run Varsity Track for Northern since my freshman year, specializing in the 400 (PR 1:02) and 800 (PR 2:26). I recently competed at the Penn Relays, winning a Mini Wheel in the 4x400.

Academically, I have a 4.0 Weighted GPA and achieved High Honors with Distinction my freshman, sophomore and junior years. I am currently in the top 10% of my class and enrolled in A.P. Calculus BC, A.P, Physics C, A.P. Biology, A.P. Literature & Composition, Honors US History II and PEER Leadership for my senior year. I am a member of the National Honor Society and just elected co-President of my student government. I was awarded the freshman Biology award and the junior A.P. English award. Last summer I was selected to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening and I am returning this summer as a mentor and advisor. I was also selected to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership State Seminar. This past November I was accepted into the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute Accelerated Learning Academy at Princeton University in the Biomedical Engineering and Technology Track. For three separate weekends I attended workshops and lectures organized by professors and researchers in the field, learning about the inspirations and innovations in medical technology. Most recently I was selected by my school to be attend NJ Girls State.

Over the past two years I have visited several colleges and attended several ID camps, including Johns Hopkins University, Haverford College and The College of New Jersey. I am truly happiest when I am challenged and pushing myself mentally and physically, so I am looking for a college experience that will allow me to do so. In return, I will be a committed student athlete, focused on pushing the women's soccer program forward, as I have for every club and school team I have played for.

ATHLETICS

Nina is a naturally gifted athlete; she has excellent acceleration, speed, and agility, and uses these attributes to great effect when in possession. On the ball, Nina is proficient with both feet and has great creativity. She is fantastic in 1v1 situations, can beat defenders on both sides, delivers a consistently threatening cross (and can vary her type of delivery) and is calm and composed in front of goal. Nina’s unselfish attitude sees her create a number of goals for her teammates, but she also scores a number of goals herself.
